"Driving is all about routines. Patterns of behaviour. Procedures that need to be followed time after time. After a while these patterns become habit without the driver even realising.
But if the patterns are wrong - bad habits form."

Get into Good Habits from the Start
with Routine Driving - The Essential Guide for
Learning to Drive, Passing your Test in Less Time and
Saving Money on your Driving Lessons
This ebook deals with the correct routines for successful and safe driving. From simply pulling away to dealing with the most complex manoeuvre, 'Routine Driving' breaks down the steps into their simplest forms and presents them in an easy to understand and remember way.
The sooner the correct routines become 'habit' the sooner the driver can consider himself 'safe'.
Section #1... deals with basic car controls. From the "Cock-Pit drill" to moving away, changing gear and stopping.
Section #2... moves on to dealing with road junctions correctly. From a basic T-junctions to the most complicated multiple lane roundabout, every step is explained in detail and made easy.
Armed with the correct routines as explained in this book, and a little practice, the average learner driver could reach test standard in about a third less time. Learn the correct routines and safe driving will become second nature.
Take a look at an example chapter on how to correctly approach Roundabouts.
Section #3... dispels the myth that reversing is difficult. Each of the manoeuvres for the driving test are explained in a simple step-by-step style.
- Turn in the road
- Reversing around a corner
- Reverse parking
- and Bay parking
...are broken down into basic routines that anyone can follow with a little practice.
As for me... I qualified as a driving instructor back in 1996 and have since taught in excess of 500 pupils to test standard. The techniques I use in real life are the very same ones documented within his book.
No other ebook on the market goes into such detail whilst making things so clear. A must read for anyone wishing to take driving lessons, learn to drive and pass the driving test.
Here's what some people said about Routine Driving:
| I would highly recommend "Routine Driving" as part of learning to drive. It is a brilliant book, well written, and easy to follow and understand. In fact it became my 'Bedtime Read' the night before my lessons. Following each stage at a time I am sure, along with driving a car, it helped me to pass my test, which I did First Time.

| I downloaded your ebook for my daughter who found the information very useful and has subsequently passed her test with just 1 minor !
I have been an IAM member (Institute of Advanced Motorists) since the mid-80s and see a lot of common sense in the stuff you are promoting.
All the best,

| Besides downloading 'The Top 10 Reasons Why People Fail The Driving Test' recently I also bought your ebook 'Routine Driving', which is excellent!
I am a driver of 33 years and always prided myself in my general standard of driving. I have help about 10 friends and family over the years to get through their driving tests when they appeared to be struggling with so called 'good local ADI's'. Included here are my three children who have never taken a professional lesson, trained by myself, and all passed first time with 3, 6 and 5 minors respectively.
I have found it difficult over the years to find good material for study to keep abrest of the changing driving scene. For many years I used Antony Smith's 'Learning to Drive, Teach Yourself' which is now out of print. I found your ebook 'Routine Driving' an excellent carry on from this and it's bang up to date. I did benefit so much from reading it.

*** Show - Me - Tell - Me ***
2007 saw the introduction of the "Show-Me-Tell-Me" Questions at the beginning of the driving test.
This was the first time that learner drivers where expected to know something about the inner workings of a motor vehicle. Although many people have seen it as just another way to catch out learners and fail more candidates, I actually feel that this was a good move. In fact they could have made the questions a little more taxing. Afterall, if your car gets a flat tyre it is useful to know how to change it.
The latest version of Routine Driving contains a complete list of ALL the questions used for this exercise...
Questions like: Tell me how you would check that the power steering is working before starting a journey.
Or: Show me how you would check the parking brake for excessive wear.
...and gives detailed answers to each one.

*The figure of £315.00 is based on the average price of a one hour driving lesson being £22.50 and the average pupil needing 42 hours of tuition before passing a driving test. If the procedures in Routine Driving are followed correctly, I believe that up to a third of these lessons will not be needed. However, this figure is merely an example of what might be achieved, I do not guarantee this figure and in no way imply that you will save money simply by buying this book. The length of time taken to learn to drive and the overall cost will depend on the individual ability of the driver and the level of professional instruction taken.
