Les's School of Motoring was established in 2004. Prior to that I was a Security Operations Manager and had been in the Security Industry since leaving the Royal Military Police. Whilst serving with the Royal Military Police I underwent a One Month residential, Police Advanced Driving Course with Lancashire Constabulary. I really enjoy teaching Pupils to drive and giving them the life skills that will make them totally independent. I enjoy teaching people with a nervous disposition, especially the more mature Pupil. I have an abundance of patience and a wicked sense of humour. In March 2005, I completed a course on driving with a disability, attending the three day course on disability awareness, driving controls and teaching techniques. I am now a Banstead registered instructor, able to teach people with all types of disabilities including deafness. I have passed the RoSPA exam (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and attained the Gold standard. I believe in (CPD) Continued Professional Development. Operating in and around the Bristol area, I cater for pupils who wish to take their driving tests at Bristol (Southmead), Bristol (Brislington), Bristol (St George) and Weston-Super-Mare Driving Test Centres. Check out www.bristol-online.com. Lessons are given in one or two hour sessions, intensive lessons are given in three hour sessions. Punctuality is very important to me. I do NOT operate a 'piggybacking' system, every pupil has a full lesson in the car and can be picked up and dropped off from home, work or college. I offer Intensive Courses and Motorway Tuition. In addition, Pass-Plus Courses are offered once the Driving Test has been passed. Completing this course allows you to claim a full year's no claims bonus with your first year's insurance (with participating insurance companies). I also offer the following services: In-Car Computer (laptop) Theory & Hazard Perception Training (DSA). Tuition in preparation for the Extended Driving Test (disqualified drivers).
